Dora Dmitriev Design is a full-service interior design studio with offices in Hoboken, New Jersey and Potomac, Maryland, serving clients throughout the New York City metropolitan area and beyond. Founded by Dora Dmitriev, the studio specializes in full-home renovations, furnishing projects, custom interiors, and comprehensive project management.

Dora’s design perspective is rooted in a lifelong curiosity about art, culture, travel, and the way people experience their surroundings. Her early love of painting sparked an interest in color, composition, and form, while traveling the world with her father, a travel writer, exposed her to diverse cultures, architecture, materials, and design traditions. Today, those influences come together in interiors that are layered, expressive, and deeply personal, often blending vintage pieces, unexpected color, collected objects, and distinctive craftsmanship.

A graduate of Pratt Institute, where she earned a BFA in Interior Design with a minor in Art History, Dora began her career at respected New York design firms including Ike Kligerman Barkley, Alisa Bloom, and Kati Curtis Design before launching her own studio.

Dora approaches every project as an opportunity to create a home that feels distinctly personal to the people who live there. Her work balances sophisticated design with everyday livability, pairing considered aesthetics with practical solutions that enhance how a home functions and feels. Sustainability is also central to the studio’s approach, with vintage furnishings, responsible sourcing, and eco-conscious materials thoughtfully incorporated throughout its projects.
